Join Medi-Vac missions or rolling columns of tanks, fly with Apache pilots evading flak, missiles and RPGs over Deir Ezzor or simply sit, watch and listen to battle unfold. New GMAX models include 155mm Howitzers with real FX firing toward Syria from a border base.

Diego Garcia - FS2004

Planesimulation is proud to present Diego Garcia airbase and Wasp Amphibious assault ship package. Diego Garcia, the southernmost island in the Chagos Archipelago and a part of the British Indian Ocean Territory, is centrally located in the Indian Ocean. It is a narrow atoll 39 miles long that nearly encloses a lagoon 13 miles long and up to 6 miles wide. Depths in the lagoon range from 60 to 100 ft; numerous coral heads extend toward the surface and form hazards to navigation. Shallow reefs surround the island on the ocean side as well as within the lagoon. The new channel and anchorage area are dredged to 45 feet (mean low water springs), and the old turning basin can also be used if depth is sufficient for ship type. The Archipelago acts as a stationary aircraft Carrier providing sufficient runway lengths for aircraft such as the B-1, B-2, B-52 and various support aircraft. Gulf War 2 - Operation SP14

This Navy/Marines task force includes 2 Wasp class amphibious assault ships along with their array of support vessels. Along the Coast F-15's and F-16's conduct sorties while A-10's provide close air support for incoming LCAC's on the beachhead. Due to the sensitivity of the mission special ops are simultaneously storming the facilities essentially taking them intact. The user in this mission scenery can pilot or drive a multitude of support missions including launches from the WASP vessels. Special effects and sounds provide a realism that Gulf War pt. 1 included plus Planesimulation's own killer AA and RPG hard shells - you may be shot down!!

WASP package preview

A special preview of one of the most awesome fs2004 add-ons this year! We've put together a few screenshots which you can link to by clicking here The WASP class assault vessel has three decks and a storage deck level. All decks of this amphibious assault ship are "hard" surface and are landable. The Marines task force we are creating will assemble shortly for a future mission while the initial release will consist of a "secret" scenery area and the still under construction GMAX WASP class ship. 2 more ships including an Austin class and a Whidbey Island class will join the force along with the compliment of dynamic helicopters, harriers, AI landing craft, LAVs, M1A1s, M2A3s and humvee vehicles. This is the ultimate in Flight Decks and is the future of Modern Amphibious warfare.
Navy LCAC!

The ride is comparable to an airliner going through bad turbulence all the time and it's no less daunting that you're floating on a cushion of air 4 ft. thick while you pilot this machine! This is the ultimate in amphibious vehicles and it operates in waters/ice regardless of depth or obstacles. Four Avco-Lycoming gas turbines, two shrouded reversible-pitch propellers plus four double-entry fans for lift gives this hovercraft a load capacity of 60 tons. The LCAC is an innovation in modern amphibious warfare technology, providing the capability to launch amphibious assaults from points over the horizon, thereby decreasing risk to ships and personnel and generating greater uncertainty in the enemy's mind as to the location and timing of an assault. This Flight Simulator 2004/02 animated GMAX vehicle comes with it's own panel, sounds and effects.

Marines LAV-25

As we continue our military buildup for a future operation we will be releasing the "players" or AI vehicles as user drivable objects. This proved quite a success with campaigns last and we will endeavor to do so with increasing detail for future ones. One of the most interesting things about this assault vehicle is that it is Amphibious in the SIM as it is in real life. This Flight Simulator 2002/2004 ground vehicle includes an animated GMAX model with custom effects and sounds.
