Designed by BD Micro Technologies and available as a home build kit aircraft, the BD-5J is the jet version variant of the BD-5 series of aerobatic aircraft. The BD-5J features a virtual cockpit, specular highlighting and the package also includes master texture files for Paint Shop Pro so that you can paint your own colour schemes!

Four aircraft were sold to the Royal NewZealand Air Force, where they served as VIP transports with 40th squadron - eventually to be replaced by DC-6, C-130, B727 and very recently B757. Two Buffalo Airways DC-3s accurately rendered in cargo and passenger versions, with dedicated DC-3 panel. Both these aircraft are in service today, operating out of Hay River and Yellowknife, Canada. C-GPNR was acquired in October of 1980 and is Buffalo's most commonly used DC-3 for scheduled freight service.
