| The DC-9-50 is the largest member of the DC-9/MD-80/MD-90 family to bear the DC-9 designation. Launched in mid 1973, the DC-9-50 is a further 2.44m (7ft 0in) longer than the DC-9-40, or 4.34m (14ft 3in) longer than the DC-9-30, and has maximum seating for 139 passengers. Delivered from August 1975, the DC-9-50 introduced a new look cabin interior designed to make more efficient use of the space available and give the impression of a more spacious widebody interior, plus other improved features such as an improved anti skid braking system and quieter engines compared with the DC-9-40. |

| The primary user of the WB-57F was the 58th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Kirtland AFB, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who received their first aircraft in 1964. These Canberras were deployed throughout the world where there was suspected atmospheric testing of nuclear devices to sample the upper atmosphere for nuclear debris. Two kinds of airframes of USAF Version and NASA Version are put in this file. |

| The Fulcrum entered series production in 1982 at Moscow's Znamya Truda plant, which will be discussed in detail later. The first operational unit was designated in August 1983, at Kubinka Air Base, near Moscow, with deliveries to Frontal Aviation units commencing in 1984 when the State Acceptance Trials completed. Initial production, testing, and modifications continued until 1985, and by 1986 the first export deliveries were made. On 13Feb85, the first flight of the model 9-14 variant was flown by test pilot Toktar Aubakirov with an air-to-surface attack avionics suite suspended in a pod. This prototype led the way to further multi-role upgrades which were realized in the MiG-29M prototypes. |
