 FS2004 utility
developer TweakFS has released a handy
tool which aids analysis and repair
the of FS9 entry in the Windows registry.
Flight Simulator applications and their installers
often will depend on knowing the correct path to the FS9.exe
as reported in the Windows Registry. What often happens is the registry entry has been corrupted
or deleted when reinstalling Windows.
Manually copying and pasting the FS9 folder to another
folder or drive will also invalidate the
registry entry. This may in some cases
cause an FS add-on from working properly
and require a reinstall of FS2004.

The VFR Autogen
design team has announced the launch
of their web site called 'The VFR
AutoGen Project', The project is aimed at creating
highly accurate freeware autogen and static
scenery designed for Visual Flight/Getmapping's
VFR Photoscenery: England & Wales.

offering a package of textures for one
season for all continents of the world. This mod is set at a price a price greatly reduced from what the

designed for FS2004 in its US Marines grey paint scheme. The crew entry door and rear
ramp open to reveal
a detailed interior, a lovingly detailed virtual
cockpit is also included with authentic stick
and rotor tilt controls and co-pilot figure.
A realistic viewpoint can be seen back into the fully detailed
rear cabin and a custom turboprop
soundset is also included.

FS
Global 2005 Editor
This Flight Simulator mod let's the FS user activate or deactivate layers within the FS2004 scenery(scenery.cfg or newscenery.cfg) from outside Flight Simulator 2004. The biggest advantage of this app is it's built in intelligence which enables it to edit "correctly" when the scenery is edited and the pilot has not yet restarted the Flightsim.

FS2004 Configurator
FS2004 Configurator is a tool for users of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (aka FS9). This tool gives the user access to many of the configuration files located within Flight Simulator. The systems included are aircraft, scenery, saved flights, graphics and system. The above mentioned can be modified, deleted, edited while maintaining comments on each section. The program, app and mod configurator provides tools which the user can change aspects about Flight SImulator. These include removing the brake message( whoo hoo!) setting AI taxi speed(too slow) and the overall contrail lengths of high altitude aircraft.
